Pictured are ladies from Centennial Place at the first Ladies’ Luncheon hosted by ladies of the Millbrook and District Lions Club. It seems the ladies were eager to have an event for them like the monthly Men’s breakfast hosted by the club. Many of the guests did not know each other, having recently located to the long-term care home. This provided them with an opportunity to meet some of their new neighbours in a small, casual group which they very much appreciated. Lion servers Kathie Lycett, Lynda Allair, Janet Kennedy and Britt Hayne expect a larger crowd next month.
