The family of George Wilson, who passed away on July 27, 2026, would like to express our sincere gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to the many individuals, organizations, and community members whose kindness, compassion, and support helped us through this difficult time.
We extend our deepest thanks to the dedicated staff of the Cavan-Monaghan Fire Department, the Peterborough Paramedics, Air Ornge, Peterborough Regional Health Centre, and the parish family of St. John’s Anglican Church in Ida, including the Anglican Church Women (ACW), for their exceptional care, services, comfort, and unwavering support. Your compassion and generosity brought great comfort to our family.
We are especially grateful to Mill Valley Funeral and Cremation Centre for their professionalism, guidance, and thoughtful care in helping us honour George’s life with dignity and respect.
Our sincere appreciation is extended to everyone who chose to honour George’s memory through donations to the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association of Canada (TNAC), the Peterborough Humane Society, and the Millbrook-Cavan Firefighters Association. Your generosity reflects the spirit of kindness that George valued so deeply.
We are also profoundly thankful to our family, friends, neighbours, and community members for your many expressions of sympathy, cards, calls, visits, prayers, and words of encouragement. A special thank you goes to those who thoughtfully provided meals and practical support to our family in the days following George’s passing. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
Finally, we thank the Millbrook Times and the Peterborough Examiner for helping share news of George’s passing and celebrating his life within the community he loved.
To everyone who reached out in any way, please know that your support, compassion, and generosity have been a source of great comfort and strength. We are deeply grateful.
With sincere appreciation, The Family of George Wilson
