The age of majority event organized by Sherri Soucie drew quite a crowd with an estimated 100 female patrons dropping in during the event.
They was plenty to see in the booths of the 35 vendors who participated. The venue offered plenty of room for them to spread out their displays in the bright and spacious venue, and visitors were happy to spend time perusing the wide variety of products and services on offer, most of them targeted to a female audience. There were a variety of booths offering handmade jewelry items, some food products, decorative items, dance floors with flashing lights, custom nail products and some services to pamper the shopper including a mini Reiki massage and a psychic reading.
Among the vendors were Pontypool residents Laura Hutchins and Amy Toon of Small Town Creative. Their products include hand-painted and vinyl rustic signs, customized t-shirts and hoodies and handmade décor items. For this event they brought along some seasonal ornaments and wood-burned items for the holidays.
Later in the evening, the excitement hit a high note with the arrival of Miguel, a male dancer from Hard Body Dancer. The event has inspired some new ideas for the next Ladies’ event in April.
Next in Sherri’s busy schedule is a Merry Christmas Market on Saturday, December 7th from noon until 5pm at the Honky Tonk Angel Bar behind the Golden Wheel Restaurant at 6725 Trans-Canada Hwy 7 (formerly Highway 28). The event will feature free pictures with Santa from 3 to 5pm, 20 unique vendors hot chocolate, apple cider and raffles for prizes. Admission is $2 or a donation for Millbrook Foodshare. KG
