Joe Celebrates 70 Years As A Barber

He picked up the razor and shears as a twelve year old in Calabria, Italy and has never looked back. He moved to Oshawa in 1963, opening a salon for men and women, moving to his current property on King St. ten years later. While he had hoped to move with his then pregnant wife into the apartment above the shop, his wife had different ideas, and eventually they found a farm property in Cavan where they raised their family and live to this day. This month he celebrates seventy years of providing hair and beard styling services, keeping local menfolk looking dapper and so far has no plans to retire. Catch him at his shop on King St. East on Thursdays through Saturdays from 10 am to 5pm. Congratulations, Joe!
