Is Your New Year’s Resolution to Make a Difference in Your Community? Become A Community Care Volunteer

It’s the New Year and Community Care Millbrook is in need of volunteers.

“Volunteering is a great way to meet new people in the community,” said Darci Maude – Volunteer Development Coordinator.  “Our programs make a big difference in the lives of our clients, so volunteering with us not only assists them to stay safe but makes our communities stronger for all.”

Community Care is looking for volunteers to take on drives to medical appointments, Friendly Visiting, Telephone Reassurance callers; and brokered helpers to provide home help and maintenance.”

“Our local service offices throughout the City and the County of Peterborough coordinate all the local volunteers, so they can tailor things around each person’s individual availability,” “added Maude. “ We are seeing the demand for these programs increase, so the more volunteers that we have, the more clients we can help.”
