It has been too long! (And coming from a group that likes to linger in times-gone-by, that’s saying something!) The purpose of the Millbrook & Cavan Historical Society is to bring people together, to share interests in all the various historical aspects of Cavan Monaghan. We hope those who share an interest in our community, past, present, and future will join us for our Annual General Meeting and social hour on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 7 pm. Susan at the Millbrook Cathedral has generously offered to host us in the comfortable and cozy lower-level lounge. Come find out what we’ve been up to and pitch your own ideas to our team. We will have light refreshments following a brief Annual General Meeting. We are excited to get together!
The Millbrook & Cavan Historical Society is pleased to welcome and introduce you to Rachel Finnie, our new Communications Director. Rachel has already brought some fresh ideas and new energy to the Historical Society. Rachel moved to Millbrook in 2019 and has since fallen in love with the beautiful trails, local history, and of course the neighbours, friends and organizations that make this area a wonderful place in which to live and work. Rachel has a degree in history from Trent University and works as a freelance marketer.
We wish to also thank those local businesses and individuals who have supported and continue to support the Millbrook & Cavan Historical Society.
We are exploring new projects and programs for 2023 and beyond. We welcome your suggestions and ideas. We look forward to developing new partnerships with other groups in Cavan Monaghan to maximize our impact, and to nurturing existing partnerships that have contributed to our continued vitality in our community. We hope you’ll join us.
