Pam Mitchel serves up some tasty samples at the celebration of the first anniversary of Mitchel’s Cake and Dessert Company last month.The shop attracted customers from near and far, with some coming from as far as Orillia, making it a fabulous weekend for the business. While many locals are dedicated customers, some visitors to the shop are just passing through town to check things out, attracted by our historical homes and buildings. One couple explained that they came to check out where Reacher was filmed. The anniversary event featured lots of mini-cupcakes, draws and prizes. The Mitchels have enjoyed their first year in town and look forward to many more. Those looking for holiday treats are encouraged to get their orders in early before they are fully booked. KG
