In mid-February, members of the Millbrook/South Cavan Girls’ basketball team participated in competitive basketball tournament in Lakefield.

It was a fun and successful day for our members, who showed excellent sportsmanship, kindness and determination throughout the tournament. The other participants showed excellent traits as well. We started off by losing our first two games but persevered and came through winning our third game. This put us into a position to play more games and luckily we didn’t lose any other games. We had a great time talking to other teams and cheering them on. We made it to the gold medal round and during this last game a teammate scored an awesome three pointer with a few minutes left in the game so we were able to win the tournament. We are so proud of all of the players working as a team and thank you to our coach (Mrs. Parish) – Great job Millbrook South Cavan!
