There’s nothing like fresh fries to stop families from getting h-angry on the long drive up to the cottage. Lucky for cottagers, summertime means chip trucks like Vicki’s Chips are ready to fry up something to satisfy everyone’s cravings.
“I had a kid the other day, he was all excited,” says Vicki’s Chips owner Vicki Barton who opened the truck earlier this year. “He was over the moon that there was now a chip truck on route to the cottage.”
Since the trucks opening in April, Barton estimates the team has hand pressed and fried between 50 to 100 pounds of potatoes a day. That’s not counting the long weekend rush…
