Fraserville Post Office Closes Abruptly

With just a few weeks’ notice, Postmaster Christine Jones learned that her 23 years of service was about to end as the property where the Fraserville Post Office operated was sold.

November 12th was the last day of service, and the “Sold” sign had yet to be posted on the For Sale sign that had been in place in front of the facility for more than a year.  Ironically, the organization which distributes Change of Address notices for its customers did not advise users of the Fraserville office, whose mail is now distributed by the Postal Delivery Outlet on Rye St. in Peterborough.  Locally, retail postal services are available in Millbrook, Bethany and Bailieboro.

Thanks, Christine, for the many years of friendly, efficient service you have provided.  You will be missed! KG
