First Summer Outing as Garden Club Visits Anna’s Perennials on July 3rd

Photo supplied. Visitors to Anna’s Perennials will be surprised to see her extensive displays of colourful, cold-hardy cactus, sempervivums, sedums, and perennials in her gardens.

Everyone is welcome to join the Millbrook & Area Garden Club for the first of its summer outings on Wednesday July 3rd, to Anna’s Perennials, 63 Shoreview Road, Lindsay, 10 minutes south of Bobcaygeon, just off Pigeon Lake Road. We will meet there at 6:30 p.m. for a tour of the gardens. Anna’s Perennials specializes in cold-hardy cactus, sempervivums, sedums, perennials, shrubs and trees, all hardy for zone 4 – 5. The gardens are located on a 97-acre property with paths and walkways throughout, and include low maintenance full sun mixed beds, a woodland shade garden, and several large, well-drained raised beds containing drought tolerant plants, as well as a large sand bed containing cacti and yuccas. There is a natural pond in the shade garden, home to frogs and turtles. Having grown up in Poland, and trained there at Horticultural College, Anna has a unique style of planting, incorporates many unusual plants, and is always looking for new plants and seeds. Please note that Anna’s Perennials does not take debit or credit cards.
