The local agricultural community came together to get the latest at last month’s East Central Farm Show in Lindsay.
In addition to the shiny equipment encouraging dreams of better yields and more comfortable rides, there was also plenty of advice available regarding crops, farm finances, fertilizers, cattle breeds, maple syrup production and government support programs at the annual event. For most attendees, the show also provided a welcome opportunity to get out and socialize with others who speak their language and understand the demands of a job where the challenges come not only from the market but also from Mother Nature.
