Determination Reaps results for the Kawartha Pony Club

The Kawartha Pony Club had a successful year despite some challenges due to the ongoing pandemic situation. We persevered. Our club has continued to grow, fund raise, and participate in activities throughout 2021. We currently have 17 members between the ages of six and 21, adult horse masters, as well as associate members active in our club.

We are so proud and excited to share some highlights from this year!

We hosted two overnight working rallies for our members and their ponies. So much fun was had by all! Some members received certification in the Fundamentals of Equine First Aid, we participated in a concussion awareness clinic, while other members completed education and testing at their individual levels and earned some badges along the way! We partnered with the Ontario Morgan Horse Club mucking out stalls at Saddlewood Equestrian Centre in Bethany to raise money for our club. Our ongoing bottle drive fundraiser is continues to rake in donations.

This year will mark the third annual Christmas planter fundraiser, which has been our biggest and most profitable endeavor.  Club members work very hard to make this a success, but want to take the opportunity to thank our sponsors, supporters, and volunteers who help keep our club going:  Millbrook Foodland, Millbrook Equine Services, Woodleigh Farms Cavan, Campbellford Feed Supply, No Frills Campbellford, Orono Co-op, Victoria Feeds – Lindsay, Real Canadian Wholesale as well as our dedicated Committee Members, Pony Club members and their families.  We appreciate you so much!

Our club thrives on the help of so many amazing businesses and people, we can’t thank you enough for your generosity. We thank you for your continued support!
