Further Dam Study Underway

The Otonabee Region Conservation Authority (ORCA) has engaged D M Wills Associates Limited to complete a Dam Safety Review of the Millbrook Dam. According to a letter addressed to Cavan Monaghan Township’s CAO, Yvette Hurley, from Dan Marinigh, Chief Administrative Officer/Secretary-Treasurer of ORCA, “this will be built on the work that D M Wills has already undertaken.” Mr. Marinigh goes on to say, “The intention is to have a standalone Dam Safety Review, developed in accordance with the current regulatory requirements and not reliant on any findings from earlier engineering studies.”
