Downtown Bridge Repairs to Reduce Traffic to One Lane for Five Months

June fist is the tentative start date for a significant rehabilitation of the Firehall Bridge in Millbrook.  The bridge is located on King St. East (aka County Rd 21) just east of the intersection of County Rd. 10.  The project is expected to be completed at the end of October, and during this period traffic will be restricted to a single lane with traffic controlled by a temporary traffic light.  The township decided to incorporate the decorative railings and design used in the Baxter Creek Bridge on Needlers’ Lane, the cost of which will be shared equally with the County.  The township’s share of $40,000 will be funded through the Federal Tax Grant Reserve.
