Compass Early Learning Hosts Benefit Dance for Rebecca DeWaard

When a serious car accident left a single young Millbrook mother in difficulty, staff at Compass Early Learning where her son spends his days in childcare felt they should do more than support the child–they wanted to support the family.

They have organized a benefit dance scheduled for the evening of Saturday, April 13th from 7 to 11 pm at the Millbrook Legion, where the community can join the organization in demonstrating its support.  The event will include a live band called 4-front, featuring the Millbrook organization’s Program Lead Norma Curtis on vocals.  Proceeds from ticket sales, the Silent Auction and 50/50 draw will be directed to the family to assist them in dealing with Rebecca’s recovery.

Compass Early Learning staff believes that contributing to each other’s wellbeing grows a strong and caring community and this event is a tangible demonstration of their support.   The Millbrook Legion has donated their space and many community members and businesses have also donated in support of this event.  Join them in showing the community’s compassion.

Tickets are available for $10 each at Compass ELC Millbrook Childcare, Moody’s Bar & Grill and the Pastry Peddler.  KG
