Serena Ryder, who this year added Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year to her Juno Awards collection, arrived at the municipal gym in Millbrook wide-eyed and all smiles to cut the ribbon on one of the signs that declare Millbrook Serena’s hometown.
Multi-Juno award-winning Serena Ryder was greeted warmly by a hometown crowd July 3 to cut the ribbon on one of the four signs designed by her mother, Barbara Ryder. These signs are to accompany the Welcome to Millbrook signs at the village’s gateways. “The reason I am who I am,” Serena told the crowd, “is because of where I came from. And this is where I came from.” Photo by Celia Hunter
