Springville Market: Sunday, September 1st and 15th from 11 am to 4pm, located at Hwy 7 and Brown Line behind Springville Tap ‘N Grill, featuring artisans, crafters, hobbyists, farmers, growers live music and crafts.
Zucchini Festival: Sunday, September 8th at 12:30 pm at Baxter Creek beside Needler’s Mill, featuring zucchini decorating, zucchini boat races, slingshot competitions, music and more. A fun event for the whole family.
Adult and Youth Learn to Curl Open House and Registration: Monday, September 9 from 5:30 to 7pm at the Peterborough Curling Club, at 2195 Lansdowne St W. Come meet the adult and youth Learn to Curl convenors and learn more about the various leagues that provide fun for curlers of all abilities, including those in wheelchairs. All equipment is provided in the 22-week learn-to-curl leagues including ages 8 to 90+.
Harvest Table Dinner: hosted by Cavan Monaghan: Friday, September 13th from 5pm to 9pm at Needler’s Lane beside the Millbrook Dam. Celebrate our rural heritage with music and good food at a table under the stars. Tickets $80 per person.
Millbrook Farmers’ Market: Sunday, September 15th and 29th from 10am to 1pm at 47 Tupper St. in the parking lot of Millbrook/South Cavan Public School featuring fresh local produce, live music and artisan products.
Postcards to the Front: Thursday, September 19th at 2pm at the Millbrook Manor, 2 Manor Drive, join volunteers in a workshop to write cards to armed forces defending Ukraine.
Peterborough Petes Preseason Game: Saturday, Sept. 21st at the CMCC the Peterborough Petes will face off against the Guelph Storm as a fundraiser for Millbrook Minor Hockey. Tickets will be available through Millbrook Minor hockey in the coming weeks.
Baxter Creek Watershed Alliance Forum: Monday, Sept. 23rd from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Millbrook Legion, King St., Millbrook. Come and hear what this organization is doing to protect local waterways and learn how you can help. Doors open at 6pm. Admission is free.
MCHS Trivia Quiz: Wednesday, September 25th from 1 to 3pm at the Millbrook Library at the Old Millbrook School and Family Centre on Dufferin St.
Tea at Two: Wednesday, September 25th at 2:00 p.m. at Bethany United Church. The speaker will be Rena Ridley from Hospice Peterborough.
Virtual Tour of Historical Sites in Cavan Monaghan: on Tuesday, October 1, 1-3 pm, MCHS hosts a fresh new Virtual Tour, complete with slides and stories about some of the most historically interesting sites in our township at the Bruce Johnston Library branch on Davis Rd.
