Community Events – March

Seedy Sunday: Sunday March 8th, from 11 am – 3pm at Peterborough Square mall. Popular seed sale and swap offering a huge diversity of locally-grown heirloom vegetable, flower and herb seeds, vermicomposting supplies, and bulbs available from local farms and vendors. Admission is free.

Irish Supper: Saturday, March 14th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at St. John’s Ida Anglican Church, 1758 County Rd. 10. Take out only, advanced ticket purchase required. One meal $18, 4 meals $65. Centennial Place Easter Egg Hunt: Sunday, March 22nd from 10:30 to 12:30 at Centennial Place. Hunt for 0 -3 years at 10:45 (inside), 4-7 years at 11am(outside), 8 – 12 years at 11:15 (outside). Find the golden ticket and win a bike!

Tea at Two: Wednesday, March 25th at 2:00 pm. at Bethany United Church. Speaker is Guy Hanchet from For Our Grandchildren, a Peterborough Climate Action Group. Light refreshments served.

Lions’ Breakfast: Sunday, March 29th from 8:30 until noon at the Lions’ Den, at the corner of Larmer Line and Cty Rd. 10. Bacon and eggs, hash browns, pea meal bacon, baked beans, toast and jam, fruit salad, beverages. Adults $12.50, kids 6-12 $8, kids under 6 eat free

Millbrook Figure Skating Club Carnival: Sunday, March 29th at 2:45 pm at the CMCC. Admission free. Come and see the end of the year performances of local figure skating club members

Woodlot Management Information Session: Wednesday, April1st from 3 – 6pm at the Municipal Office, 988 County Rd. 10.Learn about the proposed new woodland management bylaw designed to protect natural areas and regulate large-scale tree removal. EarlyON Family Centre Programs: offered at the Old Millbrook School, 1 Dufferin St., Millbrook

Mondays: Music and Movement from 10 am to 11 am on the 2nd floor offering songs, dances and instruments to get youngsters moving.

Open Gym at 12:30 pm for infants up to 18 months.

Tuesdays and Thursdays: Stay and Play, 9am to 1:30 pm.

Wednesdays: Infant Stay and Play 11am to 2pm for play based drop-in program for infants up to 12 months old.

Sundays: Stay and Play from 9:30 am until noon for children up to six years old.
