Remember the bumper stickers saying “If you like to eat, thank a farmer”?
How about this version: “If you like the local paper, thank the advertisers”? Publishing this newspaper takes a lot of work and yes, money. Much of the “work” is fun – how can you not smile when you see a face like the one on the front page? But other times it can be a bit much. The money comes from our loyal advertisers. The newspaper industry is under siege, so if you would like ours to keep going, please continue to show your support. Keep providing tips on local events, or even better, writing about them yourself. Let our advertisers know that you appreciate them spending some of their hard-earned advertising dollars locally. And thank you for your frequent and kind comments of support. KG
