New Gallery coming to Millbrook

Despite a missing exterior wall on the street side of the building, organizers of the new gallery in Millbrook hope their renovations will be completed in time to open their doors for Canada Day.

Inside visitors will find a wealth of original works all with an accessible price below $1000. The gallery will offer artworks by recent Canadian artists from the post WWII era at very affordable prices. Avid art collectors looking for exceptional additions to their collection or novices looking to launch their first collection will find that this location offers a vast collection including articles to compliment a wide variety of styles, tastes and budgets.

Trevor McKinven is one of the highlighted artists in the collection. He began his painting journey capturing the landscapes in Eastern Townships. McKinven’s paintings are expertly executed with technical precision, fine detail and brushwork and reflect the realism of a photograph. While he did not pursue formal training as an artist, he was encouraged at an early age to develop his talents by his parents as well as local Art master Ann Mitchell, who was impressed with McKinven’s paintings of cows.

Stay tuned for a new, exciting addition to the downtown streetscape with an attractive new retailer opening soon. KG
