Get ready for some powerful big rig competitions at the 173rd Millbrook Fair.

Get ready, folks the Fair is around the corner! Events kick off on Thursday June 6th for Children’s Day, with educational exhibits running from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm throughout the fairgrounds located on Frederick St. in Millbrook, and continue to Sunday 9th.

This will be the 173rd version of the Millbrook Fair, each one hosted by the volunteers of the Millbrook Agricultural Society.  Gates open to the main event at 5pm on Thursday, with the midway rides beginning an hour later.  The official opening of the Fair begins at 6:45 when the Millbrook Fair Ambassador will be crowned, followed by the Impact Motorsports Demo Cross which is new this year and at 7:30pm. Organizers have condensed the Truck and Tractor Pull events into two evenings scheduled to open at 6:30 pm on Friday & Saturday.

On Friday, gates open at 2pm when visitors can take a ride at the Midway, enjoy some treats from a food truck, stroll through the exhibit building to see the interactive farm display or visit the petting zoo.  The Trackside Lounge will be open from 5pm until midnight and will feature music provided by Hunter DJ Services.

A full day of events is scheduled for Saturday, beginning with the 4-H Beef Cattle Show and judging for the homecraft and rabbit show. The traditional Saturday morning parade will have follow a slightly different route this year but still begin at the Old Millbrook Arena and travel along County Road 21 to Main Street and continue to the main entrance of the Fairgrounds where some of the entries will earn a prize. New this year is the return of live music to the beer barn on Saturday night from 10pm-1am, when local upcoming country artist Ty Baynton will entertain.  There is a $10 cover charge to enter the venue that evening.

The afternoon events continue with the Antique Tractor Pull and the Open Beef Show.  Free wagon rides will be provided by Highview farms on Saturday afternoon from noon to 4pm.

The Open Horse show and the 4×4 Tough Truck competition begin at 10 am on Sunday morning.  The events wind up with the ever popular demolition derby on Sunday afternoon where crashes are the whole point.  Things are going to get loud!
