COME (Back) TO THE FAIR!

After a two-year hiatus, the Millbrook Fair is back in town from June 9th to 12th.    This will be the 171st version of events, each hosted by the Millbrook Agricultural Society.  Events kick off on Thursday with educational exhibits running from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm throughout the fairgrounds located on Frederick St. in Millbrook. Gates open to the main event at 5pm, with the midway rides beginning an hour later.  The official opening of the Fair begins at 6:45 when the Millbrook Fair Ambassador will be crowned. New events this year include the Keepers of the Wildlife Rescue display, where visitors can meet, learn and enjoy nature’s creations in a Diversity of Living Things display.  Daily live animal presentation include mammals, reptiles and arachnids.  Visit some of the old favourite features such as the cattle exhibits, the fair parade, the horse show and a variety of exhibits include homecraft displays.

Free wagon rides will be provided by Highview farms on Saturday afternoon from noon to 4pm.  Visitors can soak up the vibes at some of the evening pull events to see a noisy and exciting display of testosterone and enjoy some live musical performances beginning on Thursday with Dean James duo, with the Rob Donaldson band on Friday, and Jesse Slack on Thursday.

The events wind up with the ever popular demolition derby on Sunday afternoon where crashes are the whole point.  Things are going to get loud!  See you there!  KG
