Children’s Clothing Swap to Raise Funds for Family Centre

On Sunday, March 31st, come to the Old Millbrook School Family Centre to snag some gently-used clothing and support the EarlyON programming at the centre.

Do you have children’s clothing that no longer fits or doesn’t meet your little people’s fashion sense?  The EarlyON Centre will be accepting gently used, undamaged children’s clothing in sizes 0 to 14 for this event during their regular program hours from Sunday March 17th to Wednesday March 27th.  Donors will receive one ticket for each donated item of clothing, which they can use as currency to “purchase new to them” clothing items at the event.   Participants can also use cash to purchase items which will be available for $2 each. Organizers cannot guarantee all tickets will be able to be used, so come early for the best selection.

Entrance to the event will cost $10 per family, which will go to directly to The Old Millbrook School EarlyON Child and Family Centre annual fundraising campaign.  Programming for this organization is supported in part through the Ministry of Education, but it is also required to raise $5,000 each year to help offset their operational costs to remain in business.

Are you wanting to purge some closets but don’t want to come to the swap? Take a moment to drop off those clothes and contribute to this valuable community resource.

All remaining clothing at the end of the event will be donated to local Family Shelters.  The organization also accepts cash donations and provides charitable receipts for donations of $10 or more.  For more information or any questions please call 705-932-7088 or email omsfc@nexicom.net . KG
