Pictured from top to bottom is: Steve Young, being recognized for a decade of commitment and dedication. Below are Stew Tummonds and Grant Williams, whose 15 years of service have contributed to the growth and safety of the department and the community they serve. Below is Keith Schultz, whose 40 years of dedication to public safety reflects decades of service, experience and commitment to protecting his community.
We all see the trucks out when things go wrong, but we don’t always think about the missed dinners or the hours spent at the station training on their own time.
What’s even more impressive is the years, and in many cases, decades, of service so many of these members have put in. It’s one thing to help out for a weekend, but it’s another thing entirely to stay dedicated to this community year after year. To the long-serving members and the new recruits at the Cavan Monaghan Fire Department: Thanks for being there when the pager goes off, and thank you for your incredible, long-term commitment to our safety.
