Employers are invited to submit their applications for the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) Program by January 12th.  According to Jamie Schmale, MP for Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock, last year employers in our riding received almost $2 million which created 606 summer jobs.

Jamie Schmale, Member of Parliament for Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock is reminding employers in the area to apply for summer help through the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program.  Operating under the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy, the program will assist both small businesses and non-profit organizations through funding for employment opportunities for young people aged 15-30, during the summer of 2023.  It is designed to provide quality work experiences for youth, respond to national and local priorities to improve access to the labour market to youth facing unique barriers and to provide youth with opportunities to develop and improve their skills by providing wage subsidies to employers to create paid work experience to young people.
