Our local dollar store is getting new management and new inventory as Bill Clarke assumes responsibility for the fledgling retail outlet. The store will be managed by his daughter Julie, along with Assistant Manager C.J. Tobin who has been working at the store under the previous management, so there will be plenty of hands on deck. Together they plan to expand the party section of the store, keeping the popular helium balloons and offering more greeting cards, gift bags and other celebration-related merchandise. They are making special trips to Toronto to pick up inventory to ensure the shelves are fully stocked in time for their store opening on February 1st. They will be monitoring sales closely to identify the most popular products in order to best meet the demands of the local market.

Management is eager to ensure customer satisfaction, and to that end they will be asking for feedback and suggestions on products to carry by way of a suggestion box. They will also take special orders for large quantities of items for a special occasion, so if you are planning an event and need a large quantity of some supplies, speak to staff about placing an order to be certain you have what you need.

The store will host a Grand Opening event the following Saturday, February 6th, so after you’ve seen some street hockey at Hockey Day in Millbrook, come over to the store and welcome Julie and C.J. at their Grand Opening event where you can enjoy some cake while picking up something for your Valentine.
