Dave Britton of Millbrook Home Hardware and Bernadette MacNeil at Millbrook Mercantile agree that they have been stamping lots of passports. Good news!

The first Passport draw winner was Kathy Powers.  Congratulations, now get shopping, everyone!

BIA Christmas in the Village committee members Charlotte, Deanna, Kate, and Louise looked for another way to encourage local shopping and promote local businesses when it became clear that Christmas in the Village was not a go.  They came up with the Holiday Shopping Passports, designed and printed locally.  They printed 1500, and they are running low!  They will happily have another 1000 printed.

Louise at the Valley Shoppe says that people are eager to shop locally and are really embracing the idea, and local merchants are very pleased.  There are three draws valued at $300 each; one today, one on December 15, and the last one on December 26.  Passports are available at participating merchants and for every $10 you spend you earn a stamp in your passport.  When you’ve spent a total of $200, the completed passport can be dropped off at the Pastry Peddler, the Joneses or the Valley Shoppe to be included in the draw.
