Arena Lacrosse League Announces Revised Schedule

The Arena Lacrosse League’s East Division has announced an updated schedule beginning February 5th. The Peterborough Timbermen will open their season that day at Millbrook Arena at 2 p.m. against the Paris RiverWolves.

The ALL season was originally scheduled to begin mid-December, but the omicron variant and new government restrictions caused several delays. With restrictions set to lift on January 31st, it means the league can finally begin the 2022 season. Each team will play 12 games this season down from the usual 14.

“Our players are incredibly excited to get back on the floor,” said Timbermen communications director Anna Taylor. “We were in the middle of a great season when Covid hit in 2020, and have been sidelined since. We have a dearth of returning players so expectations are high.”

The Timbermen will host each of the league’s other six teams at Millbrook Arena once this season.

“Millbrook has been incredibly welcoming to us,” Taylor said, “and we can’t wait to bring the village a championship to celebrate. That work begins this coming Saturday.”

Limited tickets for home games are only available at the door, and fans must show proof of vaccination to enter the facility. Masks must be worn while inside.
