Last weekend, Annie Smith completed her four-day fundraising event that raises funds for Test Your Limits, an initiative founded by Dr. Heather Ross for heart failure research, heart health and cardiac transplant research at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre and the Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Health Research at the UHN in Toronto. On Saturday morning, Annie held classes at the CMCC as part of this international event she began called Annie’s Pace Global Adventure (APGA), which is an annual event where family and friends team up for fitness, fun and some healthy competition where participants test their limits by performing heart health exercises for a minimum of one hour each day for four days while raising funds through sponsors. Participants include residents from Hong Kong, Scotland, Greece, United Kingdom, Spain and many locations in both the U.S. and Canada.
Children and adults joined the fun and as of Monday evening, Annie had collected $2,685 for heart research. Donations will still be accepted until mid-June. To donate, visit Http://support.uhnfoundation.ca/goto/anniespace2024. Congratulations to all participants!
