The Univox Choir of Toronto will return to Millbrook to perform a benefit concert on

Friday, June 14, at 8 pm at St Thomas’ Anglican Church, 16 Centre Street.

The concert is entitled: Sing Out Against Homelessness!  All ticket sales will be used to assist people affected by homelessness in the local area.  Tickets are $15.  Advance tickets may be purchased at Community Care Millbrook (22 King St East) or online at: www.voxchoirs.com/tickets/

The Univox Choir was founded by Dallas Bergen in 2004.  Bergen has extensive experience both singing in and conducting choral groups.  His dream was to establish a world-class choir of young adults, and in the process also to create a community of friends and artistic collaborators. From this initial vision, the Univox Choir was born, followed by a second all-female group called the Florivox Choir.  Both choirs now perform under the common name: Vox Choirs.

The Univox Choir offers thrilling and high-energy ‘a capella’  performances of choral works, both old and new, including Renaissance madrigals and motets, choral classics, contemporary works, spirituals, and folk songs.  A sample of their performances can be found at:  https://www.voxchoirs.com

The concert is sponsored by Journeys, the social outreach and advocacy working group of St Thomas’ Anglican Church Millbrook.
