Grace Glass Advocates for Radical Change in Roadside Management

Local citizen Grace Glass addressed Cavan Monaghan Council on March 25 to ask for a radical change in how ditching and brushing are accomplished along municipal roads. She called the current practice of scraping roadside ditches clean of all vegetation and cutting back large trees no longer acceptable, and stated, “Expediency and economics should now take second place to the wise stewardship of our lands.”
