Last month, eighty golfers participated in the thirteenth Annual Advantage Charity Classic Golf tournament hosted by Chris Schier. On September 12th, participants enjoyed a beautiful day of sport and comradery while supporting available local service organization, Millbrook Community Care at Baxter Creek Golf Club, which has hosted the event since 2015. A special shout-out goes to Steve Brackenridge who put together a team at the last minute to fill the last spot on the roster and to Jonathan Schultz of Scotia Wealth Management for his support. This year’s event raised $12,500 in support of Community Care’s Millbrook Office.
The Schier family has been great supporters of Millbrook Community Care for many years, with Chris’ mother Pat and Aunt Trudy active volunteers in the organization and who spent the last year collecting prizes for the tournament. This year Chris’ eight year old daughter Rosie was on location shadowing her father as she prepares to take over the tournament one day.
The event was made possible by Karen Morton and volunteers with Millbrook Community Care. Well done, everyone!
