Roughly 900 youngsters hit the soccer fields at Maple Leaf Park on Saturday, August 15th for a final kick off with their house league teammates in the annual House League season-end Festival. Players and their families enjoyed a day of soccer, celebration, a BBQ, food trucks, bouncy castles and of course, some medals.
Director of Recreation Tiffany Zerf was pleased with the event, saying “For me, this day makes all of the hard work throughout the season worth it. Seeing all of the kids out there having fun, playing the sport they love, and building friend-ships that could last a lifetime is truly what it’s all about. The Festival is a chance to celebrate the players, the season, and the incredible community we have built at Cavan FC.”
Maple Leaf Cavan FC provides soccer opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels, from early childhood programs and adult leagues, to highly successful competitive teams. With both recreational and competitive pathways available, our volunteer-run club serves families across Cavan, the City of Peterborough, and surrounding communities, and is one of the largest volunteer-led not-for-profit sports organizations in Central Ontario.
