Members of the Millbrook Legion pulled out all of the stops to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the organization in Canada on July 18th. A few days prior to the event, Veteran Banners were mounted in the village, well ahead of the traditional November 1st installation date. Inside the legion, visitors were greeted by local members and posters lining the hall explained how the legion works, where they direct the funds they raise, and how they support the community. The newly renovated museum on the second floor showcases veteran artifacts and memorabilia, underlying one of the main objectives of the Legion: to remember the sacrifices of our armed forces and their families whose contributions provide us with the freedoms we enjoy today.
