Millbrook Fair’s 175th Celebration

This was a big year for the Millbrook Agricultural Society and they took on the challenge of making this year’s Fair very special.

The festivities began with an opening ceremony highlighted by a flyover from the Snowbirds, a fairground featuring many more vendors, rides and shows. Even the food selection was also expanded, and included some healthy options such as fresh juices and original food offerings such elections such as mini-pancake skewers and chocolate drizzled strawberries.

Organizers were pleased with the reception to the changes they introduced this year, including layout changes. Feedback from exhibitors, vendors, and fairgoers was overwhelmingly positive. The weather cooperated for most of the weekend, and while Sunday brought some significant rain, it only added to the excitement of the Demolition Derby. Evidence of customer satisfaction was reflected in the attendance numbers which were higher than in previous years, making this 175th Millbrook Fair a tremendous success.

Millbrook Agricultural Society Past President Debra Post was a key organizer of the event, expressing the sentiment of her fellow Board members, saying “Celebrating 175 years was something truly special. From the Canadian Forces Snowbirds fly past to the Past Ambassador Reunion, live entertainment, agricultural exhibits, and our historical display, there was something for everyone to enjoy. None of it would have been possible without our dedicated volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, and community partners. It was wonderful to see so many families and generations coming together to celebrate this important mile-stone in our fair’s history. It was especially rewarding towel come both long time fair supporters and many first-time visitors to the fairgrounds.”

Well done, everyone!
