Bethany United Church Yard, Plant and Bake Sale: Saturday, June 6th from 8 am until noon at 3 George Street, Bethany.

175th Millbrook Fair: June 11th to 14th at the Millbrook Fairgrounds on Frederick St. Join the community and help the Millbrook Agricultural Society celebrate this historic milestone. See story p 6.

Decoration Day Service, St.Paul’s Anglican Cemetery: Sunday June 21st at 2 p.m.1304 Zion Line, 4th Line, west of Hutchison Drive. Decoration Day is an annual event in which family members of those buried in St Paul’s cemetery are invited to come together to honour, pay respects, and tend to or decorate the graves of their loved ones. Please bring a lawn chair. Donations in support of the Chapel renovation are welcome. Donations of $20.00 or more are eligible for a tax receipt.

Tea at Two: June 24th at 2:00pm. at Bethany United Church with a speaker from Kawartha Bird Control. Feather Friendly DIY bird window collision deterrent markers will be available for sale at $25.00 cash each. All are welcome. Light refreshments served.

Trinity-the-Marsh Anglican Church 150th Anniversary: Sunday, June 28th at 10:30 am join the congregation at Trinity-the-Marsh Church at County Rd.21 and Glamorgan Rd., 7 km west of downtown Millbrook to celebrate this impressive milestone.

Canada Day Celebrations: Wednesday, July 1st from 11 am until 2pm at the CMCC. Come for a full-filled afternoon celebrating our heritage.

100th Anniversary of the Canadian Legion: Saturday, July 18th from 11 am to 2:30 pm at the Millbrook Legion. Featuring BBQ, information booths, entertainment. Details to follow.

Girls Night Out: Thursday, July 30th from 5 to 9 pm. Mark your calendars for this special event hosted by the Millbrook BIA.

Take Off Pounds Sensibly: Every Thursday at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Millbrook. Weigh in at 4:15 – 4:30pm, meeting begins at 4:30pm. Parking is available behind the church off Manor Drive. For more information, call Lou at 705-944-5812 or email bluemoons@nexicom.net.

Monthly Blood Pressure Clinic: Tuesday, June 16th at 11 am at the Cavan Monaghan Community Centre, Wednesday, June 17th 10am at the Millbrook Manor and 12:30 at the Millbrook Legion.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 402, Millbrook:

Coffee Club: Tuesdays from 8:30 to 10:30. Come and enjoy a morning of comradeship. Coffee, tea and muffins, $2.Everyone welcome.

BBQ Lunch: Friday, June 5th and 19th. Fish and chips, hamburgers, jumbo hot dots and homemade French fries. Eat at the Legion or take out.

Euchre: Wednesdays at 1pm.

Summer Dart League: Wednesdays register at 6:30pm, play at 7 pm, $5 per person, everyone welcome.

Canada Day Celebration: Wednesday, July 1st at 2pm featuring BBQ, birthday cake, rubber duck race at 3pm and entertainment by Bob Butcher.

Activities – Children & Youth:

EarlyON Family Centre Programs: offered at the Old Millbrook School, 1 Dufferin St., Millbrook.

Mondays: Music and Movement from 10 am to 11 am on the 2nd floor offering songs, dances and instruments to get youngsters moving. Open Gym at 12:30 pm for infants up to 18 months.

Tuesdays and Thursdays: Stay and Play, 9am to 1:30 pm.

Wednesdays: Infant Stay and Play 11am to 2pm for play based drop-in program for infants up to 12 months old.

Sundays: Stay and Play from 9:30 am until noon for children up to six years old.
