Community Events:

Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast: Saturday, April 4th. Breakfast from 10 – 11 am at the Millbrook Christian Assembly, Easter egg hunt ages 0 – 5 years at 11:30, 6+ at 11:50 at the Mill. Please register at www.millbrookvalleychocolates/com/easter.

An Evening of Music with Matt Kydd: Goalies, Ghosts and Unmarked Graves. Saturday, April 11th at 7pm at St. John’s Ida Anglican Church, 1758 County Rd. 10. $10 Advanced Tickets only. Call Chad (705)740-5889, or Danielle (705) 931-7838 for info and reservations. Proceeds to the building of the Omemee splash pad.

Earth Day Celebration and Meet Your Municipal Team: Saturday, April 18th from noon to 4pm at the CMCC. Celebrate an afternoon of sustainability and community, shop trees, pollinator packs and rain barrels and learn about local initiatives promoting green living.

Tea at Two: Wednesday, April 22nd at 2:00 pm. at Bethany United Church. Speaker is from City of Kawartha Community Care. Light refreshments served.

Spaghetti Supper: Wednesday, April 29th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at St. Thomas Anglican Church hall, 16 Centre St., Millbrook. No charge-free will offering requested.

Municipal Candidate and Third Party Advertiser Training: Learn about the rules and roles of municipal process including campaign finance regulations. Free session but registration required at www.cavan-monaghan.net/candidateinfo.

Millbrook Community Choir: Mondays, 7-9 pm, at Centreville-Harmony Church, Zion Line at County Rd. 28, just south of the roundabout. All voices welcome! For information, email millbrookcommunitychoir@gmail.com.

Monthly Blood Pressure Clinic: NOTE Change: Tuesday, April 28 15th at 11 am at the Cavan Monaghan Community Centre, Wednesday, Apr. 15th at 10 am at the Millbrook Manor. Millbrook Legion blood pressure clinic cancelled in April.

April Luncheon: Thursday, April 16th at noon at Baxter Creek Golf Club. Chicken Breast with penne pasta with Alfredo sauce, dessert, tea/coffee. Tickets $22. Entertainment: Community Choir. Tickets must be purchased by Friday, April 10th at Community Care, 705-932-2011.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 402, Millbrook:

Pancake Breakfast: Saturday, April 4th from 9 am until 11:30 at the Millbrook Legion. Pancakes, sausages, coffee/tea and juice.

Euchre Tournament: Friday, April 24th. Register at 6:30pm, play at 7pm until 10pm $5 per person, blind draw for partners. Light lunch and refreshments available.

Coffee Club: Tuesdays from 8:30 to 10:30. Come and enjoy a morning of comradeship. Coffee, tea and muffins, $2. Everyone welcome.

Euchre: Wednesdays at 1pm.

Dart League: Wednesdays register at 7:30pm, play at 8 pm, $5 per person, everyone welcome!

Activities – Children & Youth:

EarlyON Family Centre Programs: offered at the Old Millbrook School, 1 Dufferin St., Millbrook

Mondays: Music and Movement from 10 am to 11 am on the 2nd floor offering songs, dances and instruments to get youngsters moving.

Open Gym at 12:30 pm for infants up to 18 months.

Tuesdays and Thursdays: Stay and Play, 9am to 1:30 pm.

Wednesdays: Infant Stay and Play 11am to 2pm for play based drop-in program for infants up to 12 months old.

Sundays: Stay and Play from 9:30 am until noon for children up to six years old.
