Friendship Force – February 2026

My Trip to Alberta

By Tim

Recently I went on a beautiful trip to Western Canada. My Aunt lives in Calgary and we enjoyed visiting her. My Dad, my Aunt and I travelled to Lake Louise to go skiing. It was so much fun! There were big crowds and long line-ups to ride the chair lift up the mountain. The weather was perfect, so bright and sunny. The mountains sparkled from the son on the snow. We wore ski goggles to shade our eyes. We stayed close by Lake Louise in a hotel. Back at the hotel after skiing we played Sorry for a run game. It was a great snow trip.

My Friends at Group

By Natalie

I like to come to Group and see all of my friends. I am working at the nursing home. My friends are Fred, Tina, Tim, Mitchell, Brenda, Kody, Mary and Deb. I went in the Santa Claus parade with Walker, Bodie, Lincoln, Stephani, Roxy, Mike, Alexander, Anthony and Jay. Editor’s note: Group is what Natalie calls the weekly meetings of Friendship Force. This is a volunteer organization which began in 2023 to provide a social club for young adults on the autism spectrum. They get together on Tuesday afternoons at the CMCC where they play games, listen to music, learn to play the chimes, and find friends. They also go on field trips and hear from guest speakers who share their skills and experiences to expose this appreciate group to new people and experiences.
