At the Ontario Public School Board Conference last month, Angela Lloyd was presented with the first Student Success Champion Award by the OPSB Association. Angela received a plaque provided by local MPP Laurie Scott, acknowledging her contributions to the school board over her 32 years serving as aboard Trustee.
The award acknowledges Angela’s exceptional leadership and long-standing commitment to improving student achievement and advancing equity through responsible governance. The plaque describing Angela’s contribution, saying “Over 32 years as a trustee with KPRDSB, (she) has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to equity, prioritizing inclusive education and equitable opportunities that have directly contributed to improving outcomes for marginalized students within the school board. (Her) leadership as Chair and Vice Chair, including during our1997 amalgamation, and (her) service with OPSBA reflect a deep dedication to strengthening public education across the province.
The award was also acknowledged at the most recent KPRDSB meeting by Chair Paul Brown, who acknowledged Angela’s contributions over her many years of dedicated service on behalf of students and families.
