Owners at Dusk to Dawn are already flexing their creative muscle for the Roar for Chocolate Event with this tasty creation called After 8, which is reminiscent of the after dinner mint.
Local businesses are making February a bit sweeter by creating chocolate-themed items to mix things up as winter drones on.
Get on board by visiting local participants to appreciate the creativity in their new chocolate-themed items available for a limited time only. For the past six years, the Lakefield Lions Club has hosted this kind of event in their home town, and suggested that Millbrook do the same as they try to spread the idea of this event across the country.
The event runs from February 9th to 21st, and Millbrook has coined the name “The Millbrook & District Lions Club Roar for Chocolate”.
Participating businesses create their own chocolate-themed creation and compete for the title of Best Chocolate Creation. The item does not need to be food or drink, but could be chocolate-scented items such as soap or chocolate-themed apparel.
Residents can vote via paper ballots and boxes available at the participating businesses or through a free app which is available through the QR code on the ad on page 8or at any of the participating businesses. The winning entry will be announced at the end of the competition.
