Christmas Comes to the Village on Saturday

Earl Cochrane is bringing back his horses for the popular wagon rides at next Saturday’s Christmas in the Village.

The magic of the holiday season will once again light up downtown Millbrook as Christmas in the Village returns on Saturday, December 6, 2025. King Street will be transformed into a pedestrian-friendly winter wonderland, with festive activities running throughout the day for families, visitors, and shoppers from across Millbrook and area. From breakfast with Santa and horse-drawn wagon rides to carollers, crafts and a community tree lighting, Christmas in the Village remains one of Millbrook’s most beloved annual events.

“Christmas in the Villageis all about community,” says BIA Chair Kathie Lycett, on behalf of the Christmas in the Village Committee. “It’s a day when our main street is filled with lights, music, and neighbours bumping into neighbours. We’re thrilled to once again welcome families from Millbrook and beyond to share in the holiday spirit.

The road will be closed to vehicle traffic from 10:45 am until 7pm to allow for safe, festive pedestrian activities throughout the day. Start off the morning with breakfast with Santa at the Peddler Bistro. Reserve your spot at one of two seatings at 10am and 11:30 am by calling 416-458-1771. Tickets for this event costs $15 for children and $25 for adults, and includes visits and photos with Santa, and the ticket gets you front-of-the-line access to the horse and wagon ride.

Back by popular demand is Pies by Zach who will setup outdoor pizza ovens from until 6:00pm.outside his new shop at 16 King St, East.

Line up outside the Masonic Temple between 11am and 2pm to take a horse-drawn wagon rider with Earl Cochrane’s team of horses.

Other activities include a dance display by students of Premiere Dance between 11 am and 2pm, and photos with Santa at the Old Fire Hall at 2 Hay Street hosted by the Millbrook Cavan Fire-fighters’ Association between11am and 2pm. Drop in to the Nexicom Boardroom for some family-friendly fun including cookie decorating and seasonal crafts to keep little hands busy showing their creative side between2 and 5pm. Adding to the festive atmosphere will be a group of local carollers bringing holiday music to the action beginning at 3pm . At 6pm, the Mayor will light the tree in front of the Millbrook Legion and close the event with a moment of community celebration. Downtown businesses will stay open until 7pm to allow revellers to pickup a few gifts.
