Parks and Recreation staff entertained more than 150 youngsters on Thursday evening at a Hallowe’en party at the CMCC. There were activities across the facility, with a riddle walk along the track, a craft room and photo wall in the studio, story time in the Overlook room and a variety of games and challenges in the banquet hall. Family-friendly challenges such as candy corn hole, ring toss and spider web walk were among the activities in the hall. To encourage participation in all of the activities, staff created a “passport” outlining the activities with children earning stamps for completing them.
Participants were rewarded with a treat bag, which of course is the main event in any Hallowe’en adventure. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for young families to mingle in a warm, fun and safe environment and for the children to show off their creative costumes
