A report presented at the August Council meeting indicated a significant increase in building permit revenue in the second quarter of 2025. The municipality collected almost $163Ki n the three months ending June 30th 2025 compared to $46K in the same quarter last year. Year to date, 2025 permit revenue of $189K is more than twice the level it was for the first six months of 2024. Most of this income has been collected for the construction of new homes in the Towerhill North subdivision. While the permit revenue bump so far this year is significant, it remains in line with the forecast built into the municipal budget which projected permit revenue for the year to reach $350K.
