Final Mordecai Crow Novel Launches June 14th

The final installment of local author and illustrator Bill Slavin’s graphic novel trilogy is set to be released later this month. The story is a “whodunit” but one of the real stars of the novels is the setting. Bill was inspired by medieval landscapes and architecture that are the focus of most of his travels with his wife, Esperanca. The setting reflects the ruins through which the protagonist travels in a modern world destroyed by climate change as he seeks a way forward. In this novel, readers will find out how the series ends. Despite the depressing topic, given Bill’s nature we expect a resolution that is inspiring rather than discouraging.

The book is currently at the printer and will be launched at Take Cover Books located at 59 Hunter St. East, Peterborough on Saturday, June 14thfrom 1 to 3pm. Copies will be available at Millbrook Mercantile and at the Cavan Millbrook Libraries.

Bill has jokingly referred to the Mordecai Crow graphic novel series as his retirement project, which begs the question – What next, Bill?
