Pictured is the drawing accompanying Bree and Realyn’s thank you note to hydro workers.
Last week, Millbrook South Cavan students in grade one expressed an interest in thanking the hydro workers for bringing power back to Millbrook after the ice storm. They did so with the help of their grade six reading buddies. Here are three of their letters.
Attention Dear Hydro workers! We appreciate your hard work and express our gratitude. Your relentlessness and integrity has not gone unnoticed! We are aware that some of you have travelled miles to restore our power. You have worked countless hours to aid us in a time of need. You (sic) hero-like actions have done so much for the community! Statistics say that over 400,000 of us lost power. In highnsite (sic) it seems impossible, but you workers took up the challenge. In horrible conditions like freezing rain, you pushed through! It amazes me how much you guys did already. Some people still don’t have hydro-the job still isn’t done. But I believe in you! Keep it up, Heroes! by Everett and Israel.
