Cavan-Millbrook Shines at Kingston Open: Local Pickleball Players Bring Home Gold!

Pickleball fever is heating up in Cavan-Millbrook!

This past weekend, three local residents made their mark at the Kingston Open, bringing home gold medals in their respective divisions and showcasing the growing talent in our community. The Kingston Open, held from March 22-24. attracted 245 competitors from across the province, with participants competing at various skill levels, from 3.0 to the highly competitive Open division.  Among the standout performers were Nancy Kunzel, Susan Brown, and John Workman, who each captured gold in their divisions, highlighting the impressive skill and dedication of our local athletes.

Nancy Kunzel brought home GOLD in the 3.0 Women’s Doubles – 50 and Above division, Susan Brown earned GOLD in the 3.5 Woman’s Doubles – 50-59 division while John Workman captured GOLD in the 4.0 Men’s Doubles – 5o and Above division. Congratulations to Nancy, Susan and John for their outstanding achievements – you’ve made out community proud!

Starting this April, the Cavan Monaghan Community Centre will be offering pickleball sessions for all skill levels.
