On Saturday, September 28 Peterborough Curling Club’s High School league convenors Joe Muldoon and Brad Robinson were presented with Curling Ontario’s Community Hero Award at Curling Ontario’s AGM which was held in Richmond Hill.

The Curling Community Hero Award serves to recognize those who made an extraordinary contribution to the sport of curling and their community.  Only 6 of these awards were handed out this year across Ontario.  Brad and Joe received nomination leading to their recognition after introducing and organizing the High School Curling League at the Peterborough Curling Club.  Their vision was to promote curling and team development within the local high schools. The league was created and 5 schools participated, with over 40 high school students joining and learning the sport. KG
