Millbrook Community Care Line Dancers are among the many performers at the Fall Festival this Saturday.
The Millbrook Business Improvement Area committee has plans to help us welcome the new season with another Fall Festival schedule for Saturday, October 5th running from noon until 6pm in the village with activities for all of the family.
This event is about bringing family and friends together to celebrate the fall season with our downtown businesses and local vendors that include local farmers, producers, growers, and crafters. Organizers are encouraging residents to support our local vendors and businesses and reminding them to bring along some cash as not all vendors can accept debit or credit card payments. Full-size rain barrels will be available to township residents for $30 cash during the event.
There will be a broad variety of food and drink options available throughout the event, including dishes from local businesses Pastry Peddler, Millbrook Mercantile, Moody’s and Millbrook Pizza. The Legion will be holding a BBQ on the patio and the Lions’ Food trucks will serving up food as well. Diners can add beer or wine to their menu at the beverage garden from local producers Rice Lake Hard Cider and Dusk to Dawn Brewing Company.
The event will feature an extensive line up of entertainment, starting with our own Community Care Line Dancers who will show us their stuff at 12:30. The scene becomes a bit retro with the arrival of street performer Kiki Totally Outrageous! who will deliver an energetic performance of dance, contortions and acrobatics accompanying an ‘80’s soundtrack. At 2:30, Millbrook will welcome Dar Kimble and the Thermostats who will change the mood with some classic rock music. The afternoon entertainment wraps up with music and entertainment from Peterborough’s professional singer-songwriter and entertainer Danny Bronson.
There will be draws and prizes throughout the event.
The street will be closed for set up at 8am, so visitors are encouraged to walk, carpool or find a parking spot away from the downtown area for the day.
