Metamorphosis

I’m not talking about what those dreaded caterpillars have done or will turn into; I’m talking about us humans, as we evolve on this planet in the wake of the pandemic.  Let me share some pre-Covid, age-old advice from my friends:

On how to get things done: Find a guy, write a cheque. Courtesy Jill Williams, certified Millbilly, Gardener Extraordinaire, Millbrook Times regular columnist.

On how to spend money:  Beds and Shoes.  If you’re not in one, you’re in the other. Courtesy Jordie Westbrook, my son.

On problem solving: For every Problem, there is a Question. Courtesy Rodger Cooper, Retired Family Law Lawyer, Cobourg.

On how to live life: If it’s not Fun, Don’t Do it. Courtesy David Burns, Real Estate Broker

On the secret of success: First, you have to get an ulcer. Courtesy the late, great, Mario Veltri, Millbrook Developer since 1970.

On aging: It’s Mind over Matter.  If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter. Courtesy Mark Twain, American Writer.

On moving forward: The Past, Present and Future, deserve equal respect.
